Bookfinity: If you could dish on the most unique part of your creative process, what would it be?
Stockett: Oh, it's not very it's not very interesting. I have a scarf I wear that is really ugly and I have to have it when I'm writing and everyone knows that it is my comfort scarf and it's been left on trains, planes, hotels. It was run over once and it survived and it always comes back to me.
Bookfinity: How would you describe The Calamity Club in one sentence?
Stockett: Hopefully funny, not too depressing even though it is set during the Depression.
