What We're Reading This February 2026

FEBRUARY’s Reads & Pairings

Every month, our Page & Pairing editors pull back the curtain on what’s actually on their nightstands. What Are We Reading is part book club, part personal recommendation, and fully curated for readers who love a great story paired with something delicious. From romantic suspense to tender love stories, each pick comes with a hand-selected drink, bite, or mood-setting extra to turn reading time into a full experience. Consider this your invitation to read like we do—intentionally, indulgently, and with excellent taste.

Alex's February Read

"Do I love romantic comedy? Of course I love, love and to laugh. But I happen to find mysteries and suspense books more relaxing. So in honor of Valentine's Day this month, I found a book with the perfect combination of it all. These pairings include a "dark" twist to a classic as does the plot to How To Kill A Guy in Ten Dates. "

Jane's February Read

"The Storm is a sultry Southern thriller where humidity hangs heavy and the past refuses to stay buried. Set against a Gulf Coast inn and a decades-old murder, it blends true-crime obsession and simmering small-town grudges into a story that crackles louder than the approaching hurricane. Hawkins excels at quiet menace here. Everyone’s watching everyone, and the storm isn’t the only thing gathering strength."

Taylor's February Read

"This is the kind of book that sneaks up on you. It's tender, romantic, and quietly devastating in the best way. The Dinner List follows Sabrina as she sits down to a birthday dinner with five people who have shaped her life, including the ones she’s loved, lost, and never quite healed from. Raise your birthday cake martini up to another year to celebrate and grow from. Cheers!"

Alandria's February Read

"I am soooo late to the party on this read but better late than never, right!? This author was recommended to me by a friend and with the roll of a dice (not literally) I decided to give Seven Days In June a try for a first impression. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and simply could not put it down. The chemistry between the main characters, Eva and Shane, is insane and makes you want to be a fly on the wall to their entire love story. Every now and then I like to break away from the depths of nonfiction reads and explore something lighter, sweeter and more passionate."
