While there’s an unexpected turn that I didn’t see coming, it was almost a fortunate "thank goodness" ending after following such dark characters.

As someone who enjoys book to screen adaptations, especially to see how the book differs from the tv show or movie, People We Meet on Vacation is worth both the read and the watch. The movie adaptation captured exactly how the book made me feel: classic, cheesy rom com vibes. The main characters are polar opposites yet they understood each another on a deep intimate level, making it a perfect friends to lovers story.
